The Ned is a historic building reborn in the heart of the city. The property has 250 bedrooms, 10 restaurants, 12 bars, a range of men’s and women’s grooming services and ‘Ned’s Club’, where members have access to a rooftop pool, a state-of-the-art gym, spa, hammam and late-night lounge bar created in the bank’s original vault.

In 2022 The Ned and Ned’s Club expanded across the globe to New York and Doha. Each property is slightly different depending on its location, but the ethos of the Club remains the same. In winter 2024 Ned’s Club is set to open in Washington, DC which will be Club only.
The Ned is named after the building’s architect Sir Edwin Lutyens, who was known to his friends as ‘Ned’.
The Ned London is open to everyone. Ned's Club is only accessible to Ned's Club members and their guests.
The Ned is privately owned by Ron Burkle who is also the majority shareholder of Soho House & Co Inc. Whilst there is a close relationship, Soho House and The Ned (including Ned’s Club) are separate entities and there is no crossover in membership access.
Soho House members do not have access to Ned’s Club and vice versa. It is, however, possible to hold a membership to both Clubs. Anyone can access The Ned London’s public spaces.
Membership is a one-year annual subscription that Ned’s Club membership offers global access to exclusive spaces, including members-only bars, restaurants, wellness facilities, and rooftop areas. Additionally, members enjoy a curated calendar of events including wellness, culture, entertainment, food, and drink experiences, all designed to connect industry leaders, luxury brands, and notable talents. On joining The Ned your membership category will be determined by reference to Ned’s Clubs eligibility criteria and this will determine the fees you pay for the membership areas. Existing Soho House members and those under 30 are eligible for a reduced membership fee.
Individuals interested in becoming a member of Ned’s Club London can apply online here. Applications are reviewed by our Ned’s Club Committee. Membership is for a minimum of one year with annual renewals subject to review.
All our ground-floor restaurants are child-friendly. The spa, gym and basement pool areas are always for adults only. Children can use the Rooftop pool between 7am and 10:30am daily. A complimentary children’s menu is served daily between 5pm and 6pm in Millie’s Lounge, for children under the age of six. After 8pm, children may only dine in Electric Bar & Diner or Kaia with their parents. A children’s in-room menu is also available.
No animals are allowed in The Ned except for small dogs. Dogs are restricted to bedrooms only and are not permitted in any public or members’ area. We reserve the right to charge the card you have used to secure your booking a reasonable fee in respect of any damage or specialist cleaning that may be required. We also reserve the right to terminate the remainder of your stay if a dog is causing disturbance.
Ned’s Club Upstairs has a heated pool overlooking the London skyline and two converted domes with outdoor terraces for eating and drinking. This space is only available to access for Ned’s Club members and their guests (over 18 years). Hotel guest can take their children to use the Rooftop pool between 7am – 10.30am daily.
Seven restaurants & three bars sit amidst The Ned London’s historic 3,000 square metre former banking hall and lower ground floor, serving food and drinks from around the world. The Ned London also provides room service for all hotel guests.
No smoking or vaping is permitted inside The Ned London at any time, whether in your room or elsewhere. The Ned London has designated smoking areas and our staff will happily advise you of their location upon request. We reserve the right to charge the card you have used to secure your booking a reasonable fee in respect of specialist cleaning in the event we suspect smoking has taken place in your room(s) during your stay. We also reserve the right to terminate the remainder of your stay in the event that we find you have failed to comply with our smoking policy.

The Ned London does not operate a dress-code in the public spaces. At Ned’s Club all members and their guests must dress presentably. Gym clothes, flip-flops, dirty trainers, and ripped trousers are not permitted. Smart shorts are permitted on the Rooftop during the summer only. Shorts are not permitted in the indoor Club spaces after 5pm and are never permitted in The Vault. Bags also need to be checked into the members cloakroom prior to entry.
The Ned offers double beds in all bedrooms.
